Post Saddlebag lining

Ok, so I'm not necessarily cheap, I just have more time than money. I've never done any upholstery work, but thought for $24.00 I could make a decent attempt and not be too upset if I didn't like the finished product. Here is the link to a photobuckethttp://<iframe width="480" height="3...ect"></iframe> album of my work. Here are some pics of the final product. http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/...8365F8659E.jpg

Great looking job. You should tackle the trunk next.

Thanks slappy. I held off on the trunk because I plan on putting in a cargo light that will be triggered by a magnetic reed switch first. Didn't want to have to do the work twice.

I like it! What is the material and where did you get it?

I picked it up at hobby lobby. It was near the felt, but has a low pile on the front. Was 6 bucks a yard. I got 4 yards and did both bags, both lower fairing compartments and have enough left over for the trunk.

That came out really nice! I want to do the same thing to mine, I just didn't know if there was a kit to buy, but apparently not. Again, nice work

Wing nut, I have seen posts about a glue in kit of pre cut pieces. I guess I'm cheap and willing to try it myself first. I got the trunk bottom done last night. I didn't take photos of the process, but will add a few shots to my photobucket project today. I did cover the speaker holes with aluminum tape before spraying glue.

I posted photos of the trunk on the photobucket page linked above. 4 inch pistons stopped by today with my backrest and got to see the work in person.
