Default RPGS 300x4 connection issue

Does anyone know why hooking up the Rockford Fosgate PBR 300 x 4 amp would cause the clock to just blink and not work? Ever since it was hooked up the clock just blinks and cannot be set. Amp works great...but it would be nice to know what time it is.

Shot in the dark, did you run power and ground directly to the battery or grab power from a harness wire somewhere?

Also, did you hook up the constant wire? If so, disconnect it - its not recommended.

I guess I should have said that I had it installed. It was a local shop that specializes in cars & motorcycles, but he said this was his first Victory. He doesn't know why the clock won't work. I'm trying to get some suggestions. He said he metered everything. If it warms up a little, I'm going to pull the fairing off tomorrow to see exactly how it's wired. Thanks for the suggestions.

My money is on one of those two.

Power and Ground NOT to battery
OR
Turn on wire IS hooked up and positively should NOT be.
