Default Really love the look of the x rd, with the new batwing

fairing. Might put my 2010 x.c. up to see what I can get for it and get a similiar year x rd.

IMHO the bat wing is hideous. Nothing personal. Looks too much like a Glide fairing. If I wanted a bike with a fairing I would have brought a XC.

Personally I like the look of the Batwing fairing better than the XC's.

For now I mainly just commute and don't go more than 200 or so miles in a day over the weekend. Originally went with the XR so I would still be able to take off the windscreen and feel the full blast of the wind. I may consider the fairing in a few years if I start riding long distances. But for now my windscreen takes care of my needs.

My first impression was it looks too much like the Electra Glide I traded in my XC for! Maybe more like the Stratoliner batwing. While it took me a little time to get used to the new victory pointy lines, I got used to it and appreciate it does not try to look like the other bikes and stands out on its own.

But of course, everyone has their style preferences...
