Hey Motorbikersx, I've been thinking of one of these too lately (tank risers). When I removed the rubber air dam in front of the air filter, and got a bit more intake space between the tank and intake, there was a small but noticeable power increase, with a lot more intake noise. More space again with a tank riser might increase power more. An cheap enough mod to try, maybe carve them out of urethane leaf spring bushes?
In my opinion, a slightly lifted front of tank looks great;half a million Sportster owners can't be wrong! Well they might, but they're not going to admit it. Heres mine.........

Whoops, need to compress it more before adding it. I'll be back later.

OK, here's the Sporty, tank lifted by about an inch at the front, by elongating both sets of mounting holes in the tabs.
Solely for aesthetics, it cuts down on usable fuel by a little bit. You can then relocate the coil to the LHS of the top engine mount, and have a hole you can spit through between the front rocker cover and the tank, if you want to.
Cheers, Steve.

cool ol' school Sporty mate!
heres the latest on the XC , my big run on ebay the other night included what arrived today that I bolted on late arvo and went for a testride, ...stops me slouching thats for sure but methinks Im gonna need a taller windscreen now.
Seating on the XC is really plush, not using my AirhawkR on this bike , dont think I need to, maybe on real long trips it might pay to have it, only time and miles will tell.
Only thing about backrests is the isolation from the lady on the back, though theres that much room back there shes gotta be a big one to feel titties on yr back or her hotness in the small of your back...
OK lets take the Vegas!😋

Hey Motorbikerx, as a new XC owner, are you aware of the RHS saddlebag latch issue and how to adjust it to stop it wearing through? If it is stuffed, I can add a pic of the rough but strong way I found to fix it.
The XC seat will let you do 800km days 2 up easily, with your passenger comfortable too.
The Brisbane Vic shop rides to Kyogle for the Lions Rd TTs, both ended up being 800km days for us, coming back up to the west of Mt Warning through Byrills Creek on the dirt.
