Default The Victory Mansiere (Manzeer)

OK...so I have just put 4100 miles on my bike in the last 3 weeks...it's a 2012 Pearl White bike and the BUGS are out.

Yesterday I decide to do some good cleaning...and I just think I wouldn't have to do NEAR AS MUCH if I had a fairing bra on the bike...maybe even something for the lowers (actually the lowers are worse)....

Has anyone ever heard of such an animal for the XCT's?

What say YOU?

Take it to a shop that does boat upholstery and see what they can do it for. They'll probably be more reasonably price and qualified to work with vinyl than a furniture upholstery shop.

For just cleaning purposes, I would think the bugs still have to come off either one. Unless the bra fits really well it could damage the paint.

For protection, I would be inclined to go with a vinyl wrap. More durable and looks much better.

Every day is a good day to ride. Some days are just better than others.

Hate doing it but when I come home from ride I get a pail of hot water and wash off the bugs. The fresher they are the easer they come off. It takes twenty minuets so I miss some TV.
I use a lot of spray on detailer that I think really helps.

Might just be easier to KILL ALL THE BUGS and then not have to worry about them...or maybe just ride in the winter. UGHHHH!!

Thanks guys...you kind of bring it all into perspective. :-)

Don't be lazy wash bugs off and wax. You have a good looking bike don't destroy the looks with a bra

One way to help loosen bugs is to lay a bath towel over the effected area and soak it with soap water. The towel will keep the area wet wheres otherwise it would dry off quickly. Wash the rest of the bike while bug areas are soaking then wash them areas last.

+1 to what 40XC said. This has worked wonders for me on my windshield on old bike for the 3 years I had it. Only cleaned the bugs off the hard way ONCE. After that my neighbor clued me in to the towel. Makes the job tolerable.

Arkie- the problem with bras is they rub (from air movement and bouncing with the bike) and will cause paint damage, so are not worth it IMHO. Cleaning it (carefully) with a pressure hose is the only solution.
