Default Best way to part with $2k compliments of The Vic Shop.

Bought my '13 CC in March of last year. Liked the bike allot, but didn't love it. Didn't love the exhaust sound which many have compared to a sewing machine. Didn't love the throttle response below 2k rpm. Felt the power was decent but not great through the rpm range for such a big honking twin. Bought Lloyds timing wheel which bang for the buck, can't be beat but only really has noticeable results below the 2k rpm range, imo.

I'm in the Denver area and The Vic Shop is about a 700 mile haul one way so I had to think long and hard whether I really NEEDED additional mods or just live with it. After dropping 18K on a new bike I felt I should love it, but knew I wouldn't without some mods. Well, after some back and forth with Rylan via email I figured out the logistics and headed out to Des Moines last Sunday. After a friggen brutal 10.5 hr ride into direct headwinds and running out of gas once (had a backup MSR bottle on board so relatively drama free) I rolled into Des Moines Sunday eve. Showed up on Rylan's doorstep 08:00 am Monday morning and him and his partner were ready to go.
Firstly, Vic cams are Rylan's bread and butter and to watch him and his partner work is quite something. One on one side of the bike and one on the other, they tag team the job. They reminded me of an operating room with doctors and nurses passing tools back and forth, totally working as team. So atom bomb pipes (recored stock), VM1 cams, VFC3 tuner and tune and 1/4 turn throttle wheel later, I've got a whole new bike. Though I was expecting to be there about 4 hours, they got it all done in about 2.5! Amazing. I rolled out of there at 10:30 in the morning and was home by 08:30pm that night.

My bike now sounds like a big V-twin instead of a pissed off sewing machine. My bike now pulls hard through the rpm range, and that 1/4 turn throttle wheel makes is easier on the wrist. Ride home was butter. Wind at my back and a whole new machine under me. I now love my bike. I'm now doing touch up cleans after every ride whereas before I'd leave her dirty. I'm now looking at bars, pegs and other fluff for her that I didn't want to bother with before. I've spent 2k on guns, on tv's and bicycles but none of them put a smile on my face like this. Without a doubt the best 2k I've spent all thanks to Rylan and The Vic Shop.

Default In my near future

Thanks for sharing DMAC. I am scheduled to visit Rylan in late June, given that most Friday appointments are booked until then. You might just have convinced me to take an earlier Monday slot. I'm in Dallas and was hoping to ride the Ozarks home with my new found power on Saturday and Sunday.

So you got the DR cams and not the touring cams? Did you get a dyno done?

The shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line, but how much fun can that be?!

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Rylan installed VM1 cams. Not familiar with the other offerings. Added dyno chart.

What an awesome thread. I went to The Vic Shop last year happy with my CCT. I rode home completely content with my CCT. Rylan and Gabe are true professionals in everything Victory.

All the best,
