Default Autotune and Stage 1 Flash

I have my Stage 1 parts ready to install. Mufflers and a LLoydz air cleaner. I'm going to use a FI2000 Autotune. Do I still need the stage 1 flash?? Would this make it easier for the Autotune to work??

Depends.

The idea of auto-tune is that it automatically tunes the bike for desired a/f ratios regardless of the underlying base map. So no you don't need a Stage 1 map.

OTOH, if for some reason that device were to fail and you had to ride on a base map with the higher flow filter and pipes, then the Stage 1 map would be closer to correct for those parts than the stock map.

But since Vic only seems to sell the Stage 1 map as a kit with pipes and filter, it really wouldn't make any sense for you.
