I Stepped On The Scale Yesterday...
Yesterday after installing balancing beads in both tires I took the XC out for a short putt. As it happens I was in the area of the local DOT scale so I ran by and put her up on the plate. When I stepped over and looked at the weight read out I was pleasantly surprised. Apparently when I switched over to Victory in February I lost about 60 pounds. Both my Stratoliner and my Electra-Glide scaled out at 860 pounds without a trunk on either and with window only on the Strat.
Surprisingly enough the Victory Cross Country is a svelte 800 pounds with right at a half tank of fuel, full fairing and no trunk, I'm impressed. I personally will still have to keep drinking diet beer though as I wintered pretty well myself.
