Default Ultimate, Corbin, Mustang, Russel Day-long

Hey guys I just took a 850 mile trip on my 2013 XC. The seat that came with my bike is low profile sleek and super uncomfortable.

The stock XC or XCT seat is much wider than mine and the passenger portion is far better too. I believe they put a CrossRoads seat on my Custom Paint XC.

I have done a lot of research and just wanted to get a few more opinion's before I pay 800-1k on a new seat. What are you guys using and what do you think is the best option out there for comfort?

Note: I've read great reviews about the Ultimate seat, I just don't like the passenger pillowtop look on a XC without backrest. I ride my bike 75-85% of the time without the backrest on. So I'm really leary of getting the Ultimate because I don't like how it looks.

2013 Metallic Flamed XC, D&D exhaust, Lloyds High Flow Filter, Lloyds Idle Air Valve, Lloyds Adjustable Timing gear, PC5, Auto-Tune. VM1 cams. JL Audio M400/4, Polk's MM651's and MM691's. Gorilla Bagger Bars, 6x9 saddlebag lids, 21" WitchDoctor Revolver wheel. Too many extra's to list!!!!

2006 Victory Hammer 106 Stroker kit, lloyds Torque Tubes, Bassani 2 into 1 exhaust, PC3. "Traded for 13' XC"

Dude, You're Tommy Armour and rich. Buy one of each and see what you like best.

I have the Ultimate and like it, but you're not interested so I'm no help here.

I agree...Ultimate for me too. I'm on my 3rd one in 3 bikes...love the seat. Many times you'll sacrifice aesthetics for comfort...especially after a 1000 miles...and they call it the Ultimate Seat for a reason.

Tommy Armour and rich.

I would love to be able to buy one of each. But this is a big buy for me.

I have owned Mustang in the past and loved it:

But the Corbin seat simply looks the coolest. I just haven't heard enough cross country owners with the Corbin seat give a good review.

Looks or comfort, which is it you are looking for.? Cant have both the way you are looking at it. If you don't haul a passenger get a single seat or somethign that follow your idea of lines. If you want her to ride with you comfort would be advisable

Everyseat I have ever bought I have rebuilt to make it right to ride.

Just my 2 cents. Good Luck.

I think the Corbin touring seat looks great. It has to be much better than stock. Maybe I'll just go that route. Seen one on the *** for under 400 with a small tear.

Default Corbin

I've got the Corbin dual tour and am very pleased with it so far. For me, it was comfortable from the very start, though they say it takes a while to break in. They ask for weight and inseam when you order it, so there's likely some customization. And I liked that I could get something other than black.

I had an Ultimate on my VTX for a couple thousand miles, didn't like it. Too soft and it held in all the heat.

So, who knows what you'll find comfortable?

Thanks for that. One great Corbin Review!!! I'm close to buying a used Corbin Touring seat.

I'm pretty skinny. 6'0 170lbs. My wife is approx the same. The stock seat killed us both. We ended up stopping at Walmart and picking up a memory foam office pillow for her.
