Here's the result of the temp test I did for what ever it is worth.
Just finished the first test with the o2 sensors still installed. I did two test, one after an 8 mile 15-20 minute city ride at 45-50 mph. with the lower vent opened 1 3/4" and the other with the vent closed.*
2nd test was over 19 miles on the freeway at 70 mph. With and without the vents being open.
I took reading 6" down from where the exhaust leaves the cyclinder head, which is just under the right leg area, then I took a reading on the seat where your thigh would touch, then the side panel and finally the front of the right saddle bag.*
I could give all the numbers but basically out of the 5 readings all of them were lower with the vent opened 1 3/4".*
I will say the passengers temps went from 131 degrees with the*
1-3/4" open vent to 144 with it fully open. Around town at 45-50 mph the seat was cooler by 16 degrees, at 70 mph it was 8 degrees cooler.*
At idle after the freeway ride same as at a stop light temps increased anywhere from 40 egrees on the seat and exhaust to 23 degrees on the saddle bags.
My next test will be with and with out the 02 sensors hook up.
