Default *quick sale*

Hey All, I am having a QUICK SALE on my bike. Listed here for sale "2008 Harley Heritage-105th Anniversary Edition". When posting the ad I went to several dealers, they were selling a bike like mine between $15,500-$17,300. I have mine listed for $16,500.

I am trading it in 7 days, and giving anyone a GREAT DEAL of $13,990. Have over 22k Invested. Please contact me at either 989-343-6841 or [email protected]. Thank You-James "Red Ryder" Beyer

P.S. Sorry but I will not be able to give a referral fee at this price, selling it for a few dollars more than I am getting for trade.

If you were down here; I'd have a buyer for you even though I've tried to talk him into a Vic.

Might be able to ship it down here though for around $500.

PM me if you want me to follow up with it.

I picked up my new Vegas yesterday on the 3 hour ride home , you can not believe all the Harley s for sale in the car lots. Years ago you did not see this. Harley s have over built and the price will fall big time now. Very glad I sold mine last year. I hope you get to sell yours..

Nope. They use to hold their value when they could not make enough but like many businesses, they over-produced and now they are seeing the impact of supply & demand. There are simply SO many people selling used bikes that the dealers have to drop their prices on their used ones in order to move them out the door and that in turn lowers what others can get for their used. Hope the OP gets what he needs out of his so that he can move over to the "New American Motorcycle".

PS - I was in an Indian dealer the other day and was surprised that they also had discounts on a few of their bikes. I guess it's part of the same effect. In '11 they would NOT take a nickel off ANY of them and now they are offering $3K off. Of course, that still makes is a $32K bike instead of a $35K bike but it's still a discount on a new (limited supply) bike. I don't think the Polaris-produced bikes come out until '13 so any discount on a current year Indian seems like a deal considering the limited supply.

Harley's, nor is any bike, holding their values. Harley Davidson did it to themselves being greedy and over selling. But, what is worse is the National Association of Dealer Appraisals or NADA, has all used bike values extremely low. That way Dealers can make a killing on the trades. Right now it's a win, win for Dealers. But it will bite them in the azz in the long run when people get feed up with taking a Huge Loss like I am, and Do Not buy New Bikes. I for one am now one of those people, I will not buy a new bike ever again. Anyways-Later

As a side note... Last week I ran into a guy who owns the EXACT same bike as you are trying to sell. He admitted that he primarily bought it because it wasn't "the same ole black Harley" and only later learned about the unique qualities of that bike (limited production but still in the thousands so there were quite a few made). He has bought almost EVERYTHING that H-D makes that has that 105th logo on it from leather jackets to coffee mugs over the years.

Have you tried simply taking it directly to your local HD dealer to see if they will give you a more reasonable "straight-out", buy ONLY price from you? You might even simply be able to consign it to them and then make a purchasing decision sometime after you have sold it.
