See below for the reply I got from Victory today about this years event.

The hotels in the area are $150 a night and up for the weekend.
I'm looking at staying in Spencer,IA or Jackson,MN and riding in the 20 miles.

The event will be August 17th-18th, 2012.

We are hoping to get our website up and going soon.

If you need a hotel room, please check out the INN of Okoboji on the internet and if there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

I'm riding out from California for the event. Hope to see everyone there.

I am already in IA, just 3 hrs away. I have reservations in Spencer @ the AmericInn for $99 a night. We'll be arriving Thursday, so, If any of you want to stop by, we can ride up together....give me a heads up. Otherwise, see you all there in August !!!! :)

Yep, like I said - if you're late to the game and still looking for a place. Everywhere cheap has been sold out awhile, so $184 is better than nothing. Although when I booked last week, the guy who answered gave me an unrequested $150 weekday rate. That tells me they're trying to attract new business.

Well, that $184 was the weekend rate. We have two rooms booked in Jackson at the Super 8, but may be dropping one of them. Won't know until next week due to one guy's work schedule. So, at least that'll open up for about $65.

I've been trying to figure out where you mean by "Jackson" but cannot. You can't mean Jackson Junction, that's way too far away. Do you mean Jackson, MN? Yikes, that's a bit of a haul after enjoying a few adult beverages rocking out to Smash Mouth

lol Yeah, Jackson, MN. I'm not much of a drinker to begin with and seldom do when riding. I'll have a couple through the day I'm sure, but at 6-2, 205 I can hold it pretty well usually. Ha ha! As for the others who aren't so smart? I just leave earlier and ride REALLY fast. thumb up
