Default Word of caution

I dropped my Cross Roads off at the local dealership here in Jacksonville, FL and just before leaving the Maintenance Supervisor brought something to my attention. Apparently, my kick stand stop was completely GONE! I have never hit it on anything nor have I laid the bike down. I've had the pleasure of riding with some fine individuals on this thread and they can attest that I got a pretty good idea on how to ride. LOL....

Anyway, the only thing I can think of is that over time (October 2011 til Present) the kick stand stop may have broken off merely by allowing the kick stand to slam up when riding away. Please, take a look at the stop on your own bikes and make sure yours hasn't cracked or broken off.....

Mine split after 5 months. Drilled out the rivets and picked up some screws and chrome acorn nuts from Ace. The rubber stop is less than 10 bucks from the dealer. Cheapest thing I've bought for my bike, lol.
