Default Perusing the 2013 models.

We have established there is no standard XR, I also noticed no standard Vegas, and of course the King Pin is gone. I think the most astonishing change is no Vegas besides the 8 ball model. That is the bike that launched the whole Victory machine with the current styling and success.

What's the difference between the Vegas and the Vegas 8 besides the color of the paint?

Nothing except a standard passenger seat and foot pegs. I can see the op's point because not everyone wants to ride a black bike. But then again victory offered some of the lamest color combos anyways.

There isn't a difference anymore. They used to sell the 8ball version with only a 5 speed and a few years back when the 106 came out, the 8ball still had the 100 with the smaller tranny (presumably to keep the costs low). Now they all have the 106 and 6 speed tranny so its mostly paint that differs.

Where I like some things this company is doing, but others show an arrogance towards what many of they customers have been asking for.

1. Hardly any accessories or addition from last year
2.Colors, do those designers at Victory actually thing that ONE color with the same graphics from the last 2 years on the Jackpot is " Cutting Edge" choice for customers?
3. The price for the Cory Ness 28k!!!! Are you serious? Caterpillar Yellow? 28K ??????
4. A HOG like experience drive towards the customer and their dealers. Does this company have a TRUE spokesmen other than a marine sarge? What defines Victory anyway, just the other motorcycle company?

I know the target to hit is difficult but I see this company making some mistakes year after year.

Not bad, but kinda, what????

28K is to be expected (not necessarily welcomed obviously) since it is based off of the XCT, not the XC. So it has the trunk, etc.

The base MSRP for XC is $22,500 for non black. They mark up typically 5k for other Ness versions. Totalling $27,500, 28 is right there.

Not sure how you are surprised by it.

Paint, passenger accommodations and well chrome. Not too mention there was a low option on the standard vegas.

I'm kinda new to Victory. Is there a significance of keeping the "8ball" in the name. Because they actually got rid of the real 8ball a while ago. The Vegas is not gone, it's just only available in black now with "8ball" added. There is an all black Judge available but they didn't name it the Judge 8ball.
I can somewhat understand the Hammer being only available in black but I think the Vegas should have different colors available if they want to sell it.

I must say I am surprised. While I really like the flat black trim on the yellow one, I have to believe that chroming all those parts on a standard version is more expensive than a can flat black paint.

Aside from the diamond cut engine fins and different wheels, I don't see anything else that would drive up the price $5k besides the designer label...

Doing the flat black right so it's durable is more expensive than chrome. Chrome when done even half decent is darn durable and can be polished and waxed to better than factory. Flat black is either right or wrong and you can't really save it when it starts going bad. the Hard Ball has a warning label about the paint right on the tank. It cannot be repaired when damaged.
