Default noisy?

I switched from HD to victory a few years ago. I have now owned a 08 hammer, 08 vegas, and a 13 vision. I recently purchased a 05 vegas with the 92cu. motor. Noise from the primary area seems to be much more than the other 3 victory`s I own. Are the 92`s noisier than the newer in the primary, or maybe there is a problem is this area? The bike only has 4500 miles on it

Don't have an answer to your question, but, which Victories do you still own?

2008 Vision Tour Premium - Midnight Cherry
2008 Kingpin Tour - Black & Chrome (SOLD 10/14)

The compensator in the primary can be noisy. Just depends on the wear and tear and how that particular one was made. You will soon tune it out and not even hear it unless you try to.

I still own all of them! The noise is almost like a ringing noise....Ive put about 900 miles on it since I bought it, and it still sounds the same. not better, no worse

The part that's noisy sits on the passenger seat....

I have a 2004. The noise drove me crazy! Just recently cleaned throttle bodies and big sucker filter system.

The filter was not tightened by previous owner. Once I did cleaning and oiling, I tightened down filter and reduced the noise quite a bit.
