Default Pulled the Trigger ....... Finally

Finally! Made a deal on a new 2013 XC yesterday! Now all I have to do is pick out a color by Tuesday. Either the red with black out trim or the Nuclear Orange denim. Never thought it would come down to a color! Sheesh, I must be getting old.

Going to have it lowered by a couple inches, necessitated by 27" inseam and arthritic hips. They will do exhaust modifications in house that I think sounds great! Lloyds air cleaner assembly, the shop will do what ever necessary to make the intake and exhaust mods work. I will be ordering an HID kit from CrossRoads (member here), the dealer will install them for me. They will also be installing a few other small items, heel shifter, a "horn from hell", different engine/derby covers from their HotVic collection, lay down tag mount, battery tender, as well as a couple other odds and ends. Now get this..... No freight, dealer prep or labor charges for all accessories they install.....

Tim and his brother Dave, the guys at Coastal Victory in Murrells Inlet, SC are Fantastic! I can't say enough about how great they really are. Never once did I feel like I was in just another car dealership as piece of meat to the sales staff. Dealt directly Tim and he could not have been better..... actually helping to find a way to put this deal together within my budget paramaters.

Now, Suede Nuclear Sunset or Sunset Red?

I saw the Sunset red in person saturday and it does pop.
If I cant find a 2012 imperial blue this week will pull trigger on it.
will take some time to get used to the blacked out look over chrome.

Congrats on the deal! I haven't had the pleasure in seeing either one out in the sun, so I can't give you my opinion.

Good for you. Tough to make such choices. It's more than color, it's flat vs gloss. Whatever you choose, it'll be the right choice. Good luck.

Default Paint

I do not know how good this new denim paint is? My XR is the gloss(shinny) black paint. It looks good to me all polished up, but I am not to impressed with the paint itself. The gloss scratches very easily. I do like my bike a lot, but I do think they need to work on the quality of the paint,at least the gloss paint. I did put some clear 3M type clear protector on it, but I do not know if you can use that stuff on the denim or flat paint. Congrats on the bike you will enjoy it. Sounds like you are getting it set up the way you want. Once you get it you will start changing things, I think everybody on this site does something different to them once they have had them awhile.

Default Coastal guys are the BEST!

Congrats on the bike. The guys @ Coastal are the best dealer's in the country. They treat you fairly and will work to ensure that you are 1000% satisfied. I bought my Ness XC from them back in April of '11 and just this past week I swung by their place while I was playing in a golf tournament & I picked up one of the Lloyds air filters. Just have to find the time to install it sometime this week.

Wow, what a decision. Easily the two best colors this model year. I say get the red, that's my favorite, by just a little.

Default Decision Made!

Well, when all else fails, flip a coin! Nuclear Orange, Suede won! Putting together my final list of adds and mods today along with the rest of my paperwork to fax to Tim.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks, Steve

Found out that the Suede/Denim paint on the Victory is begins with a High gloss finish that has a flat clear coat over it. Found this out when I wanted to take off the "Victory" tank logo and have either none or a different one put on it. Can't be done.
