Default Air Horns Work!

I was on my way to work yesterday morning traveling East on the Boll Weevil Circle (Gotta love you're main road being named after a bug) in the left lane. I was in the proccess of passing a F-350 when I notice the driver has a phone to his ear. I actually backed of just as he started to come over on me, forcing me toward the left edge of the road. I Pressed the horn button and he literally jumped back in his lane. I think (OK, hope) he pissed his pants. He was waiving and obviously very sorry for the infraction. Maybe he'll remember to actually drive when he's behind the wheel of a vehicle from now on. The WOLO Bad Boy horn is extremely loud and I'm glad I installed it in the fairing of my XC.

For the same reason, I installed that same horn in my car and service truck. Is talking on a hand held phone while driving still legal there?

Talking is still legal. We recently got legislation against texting.

Quick question on the install. did you use the wires for the stock horn or run bigger wires to the battery with a relay?

Has anyone done a step by step how to install on these? I am very mechanical yet highly electricaly challenged. The only thing keeping me from installing one of these is that I don't know how....LOL

You need to run a fused wire from the battery to a relay and horn. You can use the stock horn switch wires to connect to the relay. The biggest issue you should have is where to mount the horn. DO not mount it above your front fender. I had 2 friends mount it there and it dented the front fender on a pot hole.

I thought about the WOLO air horn early on as a very important safety mod, but I didn't follow through. With Creek_IP's thread describing how well it worked to keep him upright is what I needed to follow through and get this horn purchased and installed.

Thanks, Brother!

I had one on my XR. I used the relay, a plug n play relay harness and the two wires from the stock horn.?..and a fused line from the battery...20 amps I think...
Mine was mounted under the driver side hard bag because of the lack of the fairing.....
