Default Seagull headbutted by Moto GP racer – Video

From the article:
Don’t watch this video if you have a soft spot for seagulls…being hit by a rider’s helmet on a speeding racing motorcycle. The incident you see here happened during last weekend’s Australian Moto GP and no, the bird didn’t make it.

Disappointing. We were paying that Seagull $100 to balk Marquez on number 93. Obviously he was either colour blind or couldn't read numbers.

RIP son.

Actually the seagull hit his faring and made a hole in it- so Iannone rode from then on, on the fastest circuit of the MotoGP calender, with a hole the size of a large orange in his faring, roughly where you'd expect the headlight to be. He's definitely a future star- that passing manoeuvre though Lukey Heights under full throttle up the inside of Rossi and Marquez was astounding!

He ducked (pardon the pun) but he said it didn't hit his helmet.

I whacked a quail at over 100 mph on a BMW R100RS around 1978. I was wearing a full face helmet and it tour the face shield right off the lid. It felt like somebody had hit me in the head with a baseball bat.
