Why is it so difficult to find out the exact dates of the Spirit Lake Victory rally? I didn't have a problem finding it on line last year. I was told Aug. 14-15 2010. Sturgis is Aug. 9-15. I thought they were usually later or earlier. I have hopes of getting to both in 2010. The tour at the Polaris (Victory) factory is great, and the hosts and hosteses really made me feel welcome.

Thanks diamondrmp. I guess I'm not as crazy as everyone says. I even wrote Polaris customer service, and received a generated reply to ask my dealer?? Polaris (Victory) really lacks action line for simple questions, or maybe the need is to communicate more with their dealers in a more timely manner. I am aware this not in anyone's control but Polaris, but if enough people ask for something like this at the 2010 rally whenever it is, we might see an improvement in communication. I would much rather talk about how much I love my 07' Victory Tour.

Thanks BATMAN, I have three sons with Vics, and I this will be the first time we are able to get to Spirit Lake in the same year. I will schedule Sturgis, then Spirit Lake again this year. If we are two weeks late, look for 4 NB Vics parked together at the pizza place by Arnolds Park and we'll buy ya a liquid refreshment. (BATMAN, not the whole country that reads this)

No offense Bungln, but I still have hopes of making it to the Rally at Spirit Lake on time. Whenever it is. Hopefully Polaris will advertise it before I leave for Sturgis.

Robert4,
The rally at Spirit Lake IA is "ALL ABOUT THE BIKE". It is not Sturgis. Polaris has factory tours, some venders, they have a band come in at Arnolds Park. The Polaris people are all over, and anxiouse to help with any questions. I plan to go up again this year if I can find out when so I can schedule Friday off. It is only the couple days. Arnolds Park is also an amusement park w/ shops. I don't know how familiar you are with Okoboji. It is a resort area too, but it is not overly crowded. If you don't have a motel reservation early, you pay. I'm cheap. I camp at I think Emmerson State park. It is just across the lake (clean). If with a wife get a motel. I have sons 30 to 39 that have been there, liked the tour etc. But go to Sturgis for the excitement. (Buffalo Chip etc). I have yet to make it to Sturgis, and hope to get to both this year. I hope this helps. Hopefully some other riders can explain it better. I road home in the rain last year 41/2 hrs. to Omaha slow and easy. Pin tour 07'

Spirit Lake Rally

Hey Everybody,
I was having some difficulties with my local Vic dealer on the purchase of my new Vic and had to go to another dealer about 2 hrs away. I wrote a letter to Vic and I receive a call from Monty at Vic about the issue I was having. During the conversation I asked about the Spirti Lake Rally and he sent a message to someone and they replied that is was to be the 20-22 of Aug. hope this helps everyone. Be sure to use a grain of salt when making your reservation for rooms. There has been no public announcements that I have seen yet. I don't think however he would miss inform me. Ride Safe.

Thanks Robert4! I am looking forward to the rally again this year. The people from the assembly plant that are our hosts are glad to see us, and are good people. Thank you for asking!

I haven't been to Sturgis during Bike week or not. My sons have, they say there are some really nice scenic places to ride. I'll see this year too, I hope.

I rode up to the Spirit Lake rally last year with the guy that the refigerator fell out of the truck in front of on the way back. I left for home earlier than they did. He is still in rehab.

That sounds like a really good way to go. I'm too old, and our doctor won't let my wife ride with me because she has been on blood thinners for her heart valve long enough that a squad couldn't get to her in time to help if we had a problem. She also has art. knees that for the same reason she would be in a wheel chair. So, I ride alone. It is approx. a ten hr. bike ride from Omaha to Sturgis. My boys ride straight through. I prefer the idea of taking my time. Nebraska and Iowa non interstate highways have a lot of deer also. Early and late riding requires a lot more attention in rural areas. Omaha to Spirit Lake, IA Victory Rally is about 220 mi. thats a good day for me and I'm not tired. Are you trailoring your KP?
It sounds like a Great trip for you and your wife.

Were you previously Robert4?
The rally is Aug. 17-18 at Spirit Lake for the shows etc. I have camped across the lake at the State park for a couple of the years, and Super 8 in Esterville the last two.
