Default Quarter-turn question

I just bought Avon grips and was wondering if there is a way to modify the stock (08-up) Quarter-turn throttle ring to fit it, or if I have to buy the other Quarter-turn ring for it.

Thanks...

I will look at that. I'm "barely" handy, so it might be easier to buy the right one.

its a 1" pvc coupler, cut approx 1/4" off the end, cut that to fit the throttle and glue it on. if you can install one you can make one

Since I don't have a table saw, like Paul does, I used my calipers to scribe the overall width of the ring, then scribed the mid-point. I used a mini hacksaw to cut the groove that the cables follow, then cut the ring off the coupling. I then cut the gap and fit it to the throttle.

Yeah, I'm going to tinker around and see.
