Default Shaping Foam on a XCT Backrest ?

The wife complained about the XCT center rear pad pushing into her lower back. I removed the cover and trimmed down about a 1/2" off the bottom to straighten up the sitting angle. I used an electric knife. Can any of you recommend on what to use to ' fine tune' the surface and take out some of the uneven areas? It was recommended on another forum to use an angle grinder, I don't have one of those.

I finished my little project. Found a wood rasp in my bucket of files and it worked well enough to take of just the amount of foam that was necessary. Thanx
