Default Any Help Advice Knowledge vegas 8 ball bagger

Please bare with me as I'm a 32 year old chic and new to the forum...be kind lol. Anyways I have a 2005 victory vegas 8 ball which I love! But I am thinking of adding hard bags and want to go the custom stretched down and out bags with the matching overlay fender. I love victorys but I am just not attracted to the stock style hard bags however I did not want a Harley so I figure I can just customize my vegas 8 ball with some hard bags. So basically I wanted to verify if a vegas 8 ball and a kingpin rear fender are the same. Doing my research I have come to believe they are and they have same chassis and a lot of same parts. The stretched down and out hard bags and fender I am looking at are for the kingpin but I want to be sure they will work on my vegas. The customer service rep who sells the bags said they has a client who has a vegas 8 ball and used the same kingpin setup I am looking at. Please note that I have a solo seat and will not be adding a passenger seat. And I also have custom pipes which are pretty short and turn outwards, short as in they only come to just before back of my solo seat for length reference. So my questions are the following....are vegas and kingpin rear fender same(as in same cut out holes)? Would I be able to use the quick release kingpin bag brackets or would I need stock kingpin brackets? Where can I buy the hard bag lid hardware(open/close latches and hinges) or can I customize any brackets say for Harley etc etc. here is a link to the hard bags and overlay fender I am considering purchasing

Thanks for any advice knowledge. P.s. I bought this vegas 8 ball with only a handful of miles garage kept showroom floor condition from a family friend for only $2200 so I feel I can spend the extra on those bags which is the look I want while keeping my bike victory.

No 1st hand advice for you, I've never owned a steel framed Vic but I believe, from what I've come across being on these forums for years, is that the Kingpin bag/fender you posted should work on your Vegas little to no modifications. I'd also suggest you contact the seller to find out what hardware this setup was designed for....The latch and lock cut-outs look like they could fit HD Project Rushmore parts.
Keep us posted on this project(pics are required ) as it comes along.

have seen the Vegas fender changed to the Kingpin fender than have a set of Cross-country bags installed. I thought was pretty slick. Just my 2 cents. Witch Doctors has the bracket bolt on kit

Hope it's okay to post a follow-up question here. I'm trying to find what year Kingpin rear fender would work on my 2016 Vegas 8 Ball? Sure would appreciate any suggestions! Thanks.

Almost positive any '06 or newer kingpin fender will fit a Vegas.

I guess it comes down to if the 2016 Vegas 8 Ball fender changed from previous models...?
