Default Elite 3 Yup

Seeing how my Avon cobra started cupping and down to the wear bar I decided to ride around town and find a tire. So after five shops not vic shops and prices over $200 for just the front tire I was getting pissed. Just by accident I found a small shop in a not very big town. He had one Elite 3 left he would let me have for $125. I bought it and a hour and a half later I was on a new tire.
The tech said he thought my neck bearing was getting bad. I told him it has a round wheel style bearing in it with a tapered bearing on the bottom. He said the only other bike that he new of like that was Excelsior henderson. He said they did that because of the heavy front end. I had heard over the years a few of the engineers from Excelsior wound up at polaris. Not surprising but Excelsior was a crappy ugly bike. I do have a large amount of stock in Excelsior. Anyone want to buy some

I used to work with a guy who sat on one of those EH Super X when they came back around and said it was exceedingly comfortable (for him). I never got a chance. I kinda liked the way those springy forks went through the fender...
