Default Bikes Blues & BBQ

Thinking of going to this year's rally for 1st time. Heard 2 locations are both good...Fayetteville of course, but also the Pig Trail H-D dealership in Rogers. Any thoughts, etc. would be appreciated...

All of it. Go to both. Great area to ride, and if youhave time to ride the Pig Trail, go for it. Things are a bit spread out there. Don't forget Galveston Rally is first weekend in November if your close enough to make it down this far later.

The rally is based around Dixon Street in Fayetteville. The closer you get to Fayetteville the better you will be if you are looking to experience the rally itself. Another place that is a good place to stay is Eureka Springs. It isn't nearly as packed and crazy as Fayetteville if you want a more laid back experience.

Pigs Trail Harley Davidson is OK. I've watched concerts there and it's fine but if I'm going to battle traffic and people I'm just going to go to Fayetteville and go to the main rally area or Dixon street.

The rides are the real event though. The pigs trail is always a popular ride but my favorites is the rides in the state are around the Jasper area. Highways 7, 74, 123, etc are phenomenal. Riding into Oark, AR to get some pie at the Oark Cafe is always a good idea as well.

Yeah, I've heard that Eureka Springs is a town worth seeing.

I live in Arkansas (ArkieBiker) and have been to the BBB several times. Each time was less enjoyable. Yes, it's worth going to (at least once)...because its one of the biggest rallies in the US now. But there are a bunch of IDIOTS out there...almost got hit by one that was doing a wheelie once.

But since were talking about NW Arkansas. ABSOLUTELY...Eureka Springs is cool little town...LOTS to see, lots of great riding and some pretty cool bars to hang out in too.

One other option...which is just a little further east is a little place (another 50 miles from Eureka Springs) near Branson, MO called Kimberling City. They have a VERY good BIKER MOTEL with its OWN BAR in the basement...a lot of locals hang out there and every room has a view from the balcony out to Table Rock LAKE. IT'S A GREAT PLACE for a mini-vacation or bike ride. BUT, it would be a pretty scary ride from Fayetteville back to Kimberling City at night...just an option.

Been to Crazy Town (The Strand in Galveston a couple of times) Always fun. Wonder what the turnout will be this year, after the hurricane.
