Default XC 8 Ball Radio install issue

So I read another post on here about the ability to install the factory radio on an XC 8 Ball by rlaws797. I purchased the radio unit P/N 2411677 REV A and the display and plugged everything in as stated in his feed. I plugged the volume controls into the wire harness coming from the back of the dash, the display harness to the display and the radio harness to the radio. Everything works when the key is in the on position the problem is when I turn the key to off, the dash stays on and then the radio display is showing that it just keeps scrolling through stations but nothing is complete by out of the speakers. I turn the key back to the on position and everything is fine. What am I missing?

Its either the wrong connector, or bad connector.

I'd Ohm out the connection to the ignition switch and see where its crossed at the connector.

Update, so attempting to narrow down the issue. So with the key in the off position (not even in the bike) I start checking fuses and everything is good there. So I figure mabye a bad relay. I pull the side cover and pull the turn signal/horn relay and the damn radio comes on while the bike is off! I'm at a total loss here. Fun part isn't that I don't have any of these problems when the factory original 8 ball amp is plugged in. Oh and the rear tail light is on too and doesn't shut off. So back to the drawing board.

I don't understand what you mean? Are. You asking if powe goes dead completely when I shut the bike off? I can tell you that the answe is no. When I turn the key to off I hear a relay click on the side and the sped guages stay on and so does the radio display and the radio starts scanning but nothing comes out of the speaker s along with the tail light staying on. Could it be my ignition switch is bad? If so, why'd you think it works fine when I put the factory amp back on it?
