Brother Mags; you're more bitter than even I over this. I'm surprised since you're far more even keeled than my crazy self normally.

What this tells me is you really like/love your Victory; even more than most.

For what it's worth; I can relate. The XC is one damn fine machine even if the parent company is a piece of shit.

In the world of what makes sense and what doesn't; this entire thing makes no sense at all.

Let's say it together! Fuck Polaris!!

"all together now..all together now...aaaall together now (insert appropriate music)
all together now....FUCK POLARIS!!!".......

What about a mass ride of Victory owners/riders or Polaris HQ to lay siege and protest the dropping of such a great bike as the VICTORY!

I'm so sour on the whole debacle right now I hate to put a nickel into it other then keeping it going .

Fortunately, just every $0.05 you put into your Victory today with accessories goes as far or farther than $0.10, $0.15, $0.20 or even $0.25 did a few months ago. I sincerely hope you can bring yourself around on this. It will make your riding time much more pleasurable. Subconsciously your CC is baring part of the burden with your hatred towards Polaris.

The cams really do bring the 106 to life. And no matter how mad you are at the fools that run Polaris, they simply don't care. Not one iota. I actually believe if they could wave a wand to have anything and everything Victory Motorcycles related disappear, they'd have done it a few years ago. Therefore don't waste your energy being mad at them. Ignore them because they aren't worth your time. Don't allow them or their actions to live rent free in your head.

The opposite of love isn't hate because that too requires a constant emotional buy in. It's indifference. Become indifferent towards Polaris and you'll soon feel better about riding and modifying your beautiful CC. Cams will then be a natural extension of what you already know should be done anyway. See, it's a win win all around.

But yea, make sure your insurance includes accessories coverage just in case it does catch on fire at some point.

Victories official end will be when we decide it is. So long as there are people like us around victory will be around.

@visionjohnny, hey I'm not seeing your red letters any more?
My phone wont go to the version of the site with the carton picture up top of a dude doing a burnout.
So maybe others dont see your red letters too.
Its a bastard cos it stops me quoting to reply directly to a past post or something.
Something to do with the phone I guess as my computer upstairs is fine with it.

Please add what model and year you have to your signature. That way when you ask a question we will know what your asking about.

Long as you use your phone for coming here it will not show you others signature. Its a shame but thats the way it is

Well I know this sucks. We have 4 Victory's in our family. The financial part may be bad. If I rode only locally It wouldn't be so bad. Say with in 200 mi. from home then getting stranded would be more workable as in having to go back to get a dead bike. Also it might not belong and you may be able to buy a spare bike for in great shape and low mileage for a couple thousand dollars. If I rode local I would not worry about who can fix it. But I walk to work and my wife rarely takes her bike to work. We normally go on trips of 4 days or more at a time. What do we do when you have problem on the rode 1000 mi from home. Even when they were made parts were scarce. And soon it will bee hard to find a guy that knows Victory's .We do a lot of 800 mi. days. I own an Indian and have since 2005. I thought when Polaris bought Indian they would take the Victory line in a new direction like Adventure bikes and in town bikes a X between Adventure and sport bikes. As usual I was wrong. I may buy a newer Indian or not. What gets me is the sling shot. I hate it. I think it is stupid and will never drive one because you can't ride it it is not a motorcycle. We have had many brand and many configurations of motorcycles over the years. I'm not a cruiser guy but anymore my knees like what they like. You can be mad at Polaris OR you can stop and think how can I make this good for me. There will be great opportunity's and they won't last long. Good luck. This is a great forum only because of the people on it.

I believe a big part of Victory's demise comes from the 'Not Invented Here Syndrome'. Yes, Victory was conceived at Polaris, but not with the current management team. Hence they'll keep pumping money into the Slingshot and Polaris Indian. The two brands they developed under their structure. The senior management team that had the passion for Victory has mostly 'left the building' so to speak.

I highly suspect we've not heard the end of the Brammo electric bike line either. It was a ridiculously bad idea to simply peal off their decal and replace it with a Victory sticker. Scott Wine and associates will still pump money into it and re-release it under yet another name.
