Default Adding anything to my XC

I just can't see putting any more money into it other than maintenance coast. I would get 1/4 of what I got in it now. If I sold it right now and could find a buyer. There is a couple of Victory's on Graigslist here. Their asking price is way above book price. They will have to come way down to have a slight chance to find a buyer. So I'll just keep riding it. Then sell it cheap or part it out.
sheets likes this.

Riding: 2011 XC
Sold: 2003 Vegas
Totaled: 2003 TC, But it's still on the road.
Sold: 2004 TC
This is Just the list of Victory's. I have also rode and owned Honda's, Kawasaki's, Suzuki's, Harley's. Some old European bike. Can't remember the name. It was a 3 speed and I started riding on a 50cc bike that Sears sold. Some time around 1967. I have had my motorcycle license since 1969.

Yep. In time the value may go up but investment wise, think gold or silver, not Victory.

I'm past caring about the value of my Vic's. I just care about how they run, ride, and handle. I'm not past adding a little something here or there but I know I won't get a return on any bling; it's strictly for me and my eyes to admire.

I see no reason why they won't last for the next 20 years. Yes, I'll have to put some coin into them from time to time, but I would have to do that with any bike.

I buy vehicles ONLY to use them and/or enjoy them. Resale value never factors into it at all.

I just added a chrome rear fender bumper, entirely because I like it. Before that, a Corbin saddle, just because I like it.

Tomorrow, I hope to go out for a nice steak dinner. A kale salad would probably give me a better financial return on my money, but I want a steak with the baked potato double-loaded. I donít care for kale salad.

Resale value? What's THAT.... The only thing I ever made a HUGE profit on is selling my house in Holland I bought it in guilden and sold it in Euro , the rest all motorbike and cars I keep Sooooo long that it's running on it's last legs, ..... I buy something to use it for a purpose.... The 2 motorcycle I had in Holland 1 was sold for near to nothing and the other I blew up the engine in the middle of France

I can't believe that people buy new hand phones every 2 years , all the data & picture must be heaved into that new "thing"

Same as a motorcycle, you add fuel computer and floorboards, thousands of dollars, and you see them on the forum listed, 6000 or 2000 miles, 5 years old.... So why did you buy this stuff

FOLLOW THE JOHNSES ( remember that movie)

OK I have to confess, the CCT we bought because my Jackpot is out of service, so to keep or sell that CCT really don't bother me ..... But that is a choice you make...

Banks love you guys for buying all these toys in credit.....

Here in Asia a average salary = 300 USD to 2000 USD per month, bottom & top
And there hand phone is more expensive then mine..... (of course there's a lot of rich people here, drive Ferrari and Lamborghini etc the houses are like mansions with many servants)

Different values in life.... Makes the world go round....

RANT OVER.... hi hi

I'll ride that Jack-Hammer until I cannot or it's broken,

Is there anything you want from your MC that the XC can't do? You know its awesome machine, so just relax and enjoy. Buy it a little treat every now & then, do the maintenance and the XC should give you many happy miles.

Well I don't want to start a "oil thread" kinda fight, but I wish my CCT would ride the same as my jackpot.... I guess the X bikes are 5x better then HD but I wouldn't know that, I only can compare
Jackpot & Vision & CCT and it is in that order... The Vision and Jackpot are the same quality of road use ... Then the second place is CCT... Sorry guys... I read the kingpin is the same , way up in the road handling ability....

Please don't shoot the messenger...

Vehicles are the worst purchase you can make, especially toys like motorcycles. Sorry to be blunt OP but quit your whining and get to riding. If you didn't buy your bike to enjoy the ride but to worry about resale value then you probably don't need to own a motorcycle, jet ski, ATV, any new technology, etc.

Since I bought my 11 XC I have also bought and then sold a NINJA 650, 07 Roadliner, 2 Honda 919's, st1300 and I am currently riding a triumph Speedmaster. I know I forgot at least one bike. I just bought almost $1,000 worth of replacement parts for my 11 XC. Might be good money after bad to some but that XC ain't going anywhere and I will continue to put money in it as needed until I can no longer safely handle the bike. I am nearly 71 so that might be sooner rather than later.

jacktrash, I'm 10 years up on you and still carving the twisties with those I ride with who are mostly my kid's age. You've a long way yet to go as long as you don't do stupid.

I just turned 65. I expect to keep my XCT running until I'm unsafe or unable to pick her up.
