Default Rims Clear-Coated?

Before I put the Mother's to the rims, wondering if they're clear-coated from the factory. Thanks.

Whether or not they are coated, polish will not hurt, it can only help.

Take a nickle (only) and try scratching them. If they don't scratch then there clear coated. Mothers has some good polishing videos on youtube

If you take a picture of your rim, the guys here can see what kind of style rims they are, that would be half of the answer

I agree with RICZ, just polish them as desired. I'm not sure if my CCT wheels are clear coated or not but they sure do shine when I spray them with polish (Honda or Original) and wipe them down with a microfiber towel.

All the best,

Mark

It seems a lot of new people post "a" question and never come back to reply ....
