Default Gas shock on trunk lid?

Has anybody here ever installed a gas shock on the lid of their trunk on a vision or XC? It would be nice in my mind to have it so that the trunk does not slam shut when your hands are full after taking things out of the trunk.

Good idea. A shock is a solid rod and even off to the side you will lose cargo space to fit it. A short shock at the rear of trunk would take the least space. Two probably better to put less stress on the plastic trunk.

Ha! That would be fancy. My teether is currently a 550 cord. It works great and I like it better than the coil.

I load my truck all the time going to work. What I do is pull the large items out and put them in my seat. This keeps my hands free and allows me to put my helmet in the trunk and close it. Then I just pick up my things in the seat and go.

My trunk lid took a big chunk out of my middle finger, when the wind blew it shut. A strut sounds like a good idea!
