Default After market speaker pod question

So I have a 2003 V92 Classic cruiser. I am looking at ways to add music to my ride. Typical options I am looking at are either blue tooth speaker pods, or helmet mount head set deal. The price on pods swing wildly from 60 bucks to over 400. If you go the helmet mount, might as well get two to take advantage of the intercom capabilities. Looking for input on what type make and such others are using. Thanks.

I just put a set of Boss 3" pods on my wife's Octane. She seems to like them.

We opted to install then on the topside of the highway bars. She didn't like the "Mickey Mouse" ears look on her handlebars.

I'm with your wife. I don't like them on bars either. I think they look much better in the bars.

I was pondering that position myself. How is the sound?

They sound pretty good for a 3" speakers. Don't expect must bask from them.

If it were me, I would go the route of speakers inside your helmet. Getting a SENA, for me, was a game changer. Not only can I communicate with someone I'm riding with, I can stream music to the speakers (inside helmet) via Bluetooth.
