I live in Asia so it rains a lot here, its just a mindset, crack on or stay home, whatever makes you happy,

When i ride home and the clouds are forming, i change to a full face helmet and just ride trough it, its kinda fun ...

I have riding in rain for 49 years. I have made it through some bad storms when I should have turned the other way, lucky that I made it through. I have pulled out of my drive way in the rain many times. I am going on a run to Johnson City, Texas in October ( Johnson City Pig Roast ). This will be the 10th or 11th time I've did this run. I'm sure it will rain there is only one time it hasn't rained. But, there has been to many times I have been caught on a road I had no place to go. Fighting high wind, hail and poring rain no place to get out of it. No shoulder on the road and I would get stuck if I pulled off the road. My Cross Country is heavy I probably would not be able to get it out. It isn't fun, I am very lucky to get trough many of these storms. I have taken a lot of chances and now I choose to use my experiences and be wise if there is rain, a storm I am going to ride into. Going to Sturgis, SD last month I just barely escaped a storm in Colorado that produced 2 tornados and base ball size hell. Just to pull under a overpass when I rode into another storm, not near as bad as the other storm. Put it did have heavy rain, high winds and small hail where I has. Cars were pulling under the over pass with wind shields busted out From both directions. The highway had been shut down just a few miles in the direction we had come from. The high way was covered with debris, over turned cars, trucks and trailers. I told my buddy we needed to turn back way before, he thought we could miss it. Standing under the over pass he said he would never argue that point with me again.
