Default Somebody tell me I'm crazy....

I'm just kind of debating on trading my jackpot in for something else, I really do like the jackpot looks and attitude about it. I only have 2000 or so miles on it didn't use it at all really last year, I'm still trying to get used to the handling. I don't think its the wide rear tire I know think its the skinny front making me feel its not really stable.

Anyway I love the highball looks wish there was a vic demo around me so I can try it out but maybe I can talk my dealer into letting me test ride it. Also interested in the ness xc the other people I ride with all have bags so it would be nice not to ask them to carry my stuff for me. I don't know maybe I'm over reacting or something, whst do you guys think I got tons of money invested in the jackpot.

The Kingpin fixes what you don't like about the Jackpot. I rode a buddies Vegas back in 06 and never could get comfortable with the bike. Then a few months ago I rode the Kingpin and --- WOW--- what a difference. The pin doesn't have the "twitchiness" that the Vegas had. But it has all the other good stuff!

Default It gets better

I have a 2009 Jackpot. I hadn't ridden for about 15 years when I decided to purchase a new bike and really liked the looks of the Jackpot. Soon after I got it I thought that I had made a big mistake. I was having a hard time getting used to that big rear tire and how the bike handled with it but in just a short time I got over it and love the bike. When I have my girlfriend on the back I don't even know she is there and I think that big rear tire helps. I put a set of bags on mine with the easy brackets so that I can take them off when I don't want them. They don't hold much but enough. I have ridden other VICTORYS with the smaller rear tire and they do handle better and the baggers sure do have a lot of storage but I think that I will stick with my Jackpot. Maybe someday down the road I will step up to a Vic bagger but the Jackpot will always be in the garage alongside of it

Yea recently I have gotten used to it and when I'm on the back roads doing 35-60 I'm actually fine and I like the ride, but yesterday I wanted to get home fast so I took the highway for a couple exits and it sucked. I could feel every little crack in the road and just felt like any sudden movement the bike would just slide out from underneath me.

I rode a wide glide for years with the 21" front wheel. I felt some instability too with it, then I switched to a Metzeler tire that was just slightly wider, and it was a totally different bike. Maybe try doing that ??? It may improve your ride and make you a happy man.

I went from 06 JP to 13 Vision. Vision has the same fun factor but I can use it all the time. Ride way more now than I ever did on JP

You're crazy...

Seriously thought last year I test rode the Vegas, Judge, High Ball, and Jackpot. IMO the high ball was the best fit for me. The Jackpot seat of the pants felt fast off the line but I didn't like the feel in the corners. I like forward controls vice mid so the Judge didn't work for me. The Vegas was a nice bike but IMO not near as nice as a High Ball. Once I am in financial position I will be adding a High Ball to my stable

Different people have different priorities on where they would spend their money. Bottom line though is get the bike you want and are willing to pay for
