Default Turning bars up

I'm thinking about trying out apes on my bike but to save me some $$$ I was thinking about turning the bars up a little just to get the feel for higher bars, has anyone done this? If so what do u think? any pics?

I just purchased apes/risers/topclamp and grips for my XR and as soon as I get the top clamp in I will be putting them on and posting pics. Right now I have mine turned up and and it's alot more comfortable but like the other poster said it looks funny because of the way the bars point up. Personally I have a strong dislike for the stock bars on the Vics (minus the hardball and highball) and changing them out was my first priority lol. Pics to come soon.

I've got the XC bars on my XR which give me about 2" more pull back. I also set the bars about 2" - 3" higher than the stock setup and it's much more comfortable for my back and wrists.

I did on mine. You have to re-drill the safety holes to re-adjust the brake and clutch assembly. It helps to have someone hold and mark the areas on the bars while you sit on it to see what you like.

I like the look much better. I tried to match the same angle of the triple trees with the bars so the lines go straight up.

Also, make the handling on the jackpot much better. Far easier to counter steer.

PM your email and I can send you some pics.
