Default Excellent Victory Marketing

I've only had my beautiful 2012 pearl white CCT for 3 weeks. But today I get a custom and personalized marketing piece from Victory Motorcycles. It's a 6"x9" full color 8 panel piece. It has my first name printed in it plus Randy's Cycle name and address where I bought the CCT. The piece even has a picture of a white 2012 CCT on page 4. Page 5 has 3 discount coupons good only at Randy's Cycle that expire on 7/31/2013. A 10% off a $50 purchase or $20 off a $100 purchase along with a 10% off Victory apparel.

Of course I'll use the discount coupons for accessories. I don't own a stich of Victory aparel but I'll be sure to buy at least a shirt for my wife and I.

Yes, I know it's a Marketing template piece they likely send to every new owner. The neat parts are they actually have the template and they use it.

Great job Victory Motorcycles!

All the best,

Mark

Good on you Mark. I'm thinking that's at least partially a dealer driven promo. Don't know really, but as you describe them, the benefits are specific to your dealer and have a time limit. Not a bad thing, just a thing thing.

I didn't get anything after the fact, not even a goodnight kiss. I did however beat them bloody on the price and since I haven't seen anybody get close to my number yet, I'm good with being stood up on the second date.

I got a nice thank you note my dealer and they always give a discount on anything I purchase there. Can't complain about that.

Mark, that shirt you are gonna buy for you and your wife--are you both gonna wear it at the same time, or is one going shirtless? Inquiring minds want to know.

I got nothing from my dealer or from Victory, except my bike. If my dealer had sent me some discount coupons they would have gotten at least another $1000 from me for accessories/parts, but since they didn't offer any discounts even after I asked I took my business elsewhere.

Have you asked them for discounts? I always give my dealer a chance to match or come close to another's price and they usually come through. It doesn't hurt to ask, as my mother taught me.

My mother taught me that if she sends me to the persimmon tree to cut a switch I better man up and cut one with some heft to it cause if I came back with some little twig then she went to the tree herself and she did some serious picking and some serious switching and I did some serious bawling.

Pop, there don't seem to be any more moms like ours these days. Today's moms want to be their kid's friend instead of their mentor.

Vic sent me a vest pin and my 1 year road side assistance card as well as the paper work for my 4 year extended power train warranty and that is the last I have heard from them or my dealer which is fine with me. Speaking of switches, mine came off the weeping willow at the creek in front of my house. Makes you think twice about not doing what I ever I did to get that willow branch across my legs.

Vic sent me their mag from 2006 until they stopped printing the hard copy. Don't know whether they were being nice or were to lazy to take my name off the list. Wasn't much of a mag.
