Default Any Recommended Forward Control Extensions??

Hello,

I'm looking to purchase forward control extensions for a 2012 High-Ball. I'm 6'2" and I'm hoping 2" extensions will be enough for me. For those of you have put on extensions, is 2" enough?

I'm debating between:

Standard Driver Footpeg Supports - Vegas $59
Part number 2877913-266

Noemtz 2" extensions for $99

I'm hoping someone may have experience with both and can make a recommendation. Please let me know what you recommend...maybe it's something different than the two listed above.

THANKS!

I posted in the general forum, because if it fits the high-ball it will probably fit another vic.

I am also 6'2" and am going with the black 4" extensions. I test fitted and had some brake issues so waiting on support to get them permanently mounted but when sitting on the bike with the 4" was just about perfect! I purchased mine through victoryonly.com along with many other parts and they have great CS! Also because of my long arms I flipped the risers and it moved the bars slightly forward and up just enough to make it really comfortable. Easy enough to undo if you don't like it.

I'm 6' and I bought the 2" forward extensions. Much better ride but I feel I could go a little more. So I'm thinking the 4" would work better for you

I'm also 6', I added the 2" extensions from Witchdoctor. Noemtz and Victory only are the same thing. They worked great for me.

I will say I'm waiting to hear someone trying that Std footpeg support kit on a High-Ball. From stairing at it, I think it'd be perfect for me. Looks like a couple inches of extension and slightly lower.. I'm all for it. Try it, get pics and report back. Inquiring minds wanna know... Especially considering how I'm used to seeing guys swap out for $700-1500 extended control kits on Harleys. $60 is a drop in the bucket for an ergonomic change to one of the big three position points on the bike.

Default 2877913-266 on a High-Ball.. Awesome!

I took a quick test ride after install of 2877913-266 from the accessories cataolog. Compared to the mid-like controls they move your feet to a more forward-control position, which I'd say is quite dramatic on the high-ball.

The position is much more "chop" or "pro-street" like. I'd recommend it if you want to get the feet more forward on the High-Ball, and I suppose the 2013 Judge if they have similar mid control peg supports. It's about 2" or so more forward, or at least feels that way.

They're also significantly closer to the bike than stock, so I haven't verified but suspect a potential lean angle improvement. I'll know when I get brave enough to really lean her around some twisties.

For the price.. Highly recommended as a first step.

The installation couldn't have been easier if you can wrench at all. The hardest part to me was the spring-type clamp holding the footpeg pin in place so I could swap over the actual pegs themselves to the new supports.

The kit comes with mounts, some hardware and a new shift linkage ready to go. All ya need is a couple allen sockets, regular sockets, a box wrench, snap-ring pliers, a rag to clean and a little grease for shift/brake levers, a six pack of your beverage of choice and a rainy day.

I'm constistently amazed at how simple mods can be on these Victory bikes. No telling how big a pain in the butt a forward control swap on a typical Harley would have been.
