Default Triumph Joins the Harley Party

http://blog.motorcycle.com/2013/07/1...in-spy-photos/

Okay fine, but did they have to knock off the Victory rims?

Hell, I can even live with that, but they went too far. WTF is this:

Even the f*cking British have to put spoked wheels and tubed bias ply tires on their only model that goes without the damn batwing anchor?

Those are all Harley parts. Fender, fairing, lowers, trunk, bags... that's no spy photo of a Triumph tourer... that's some guys ThunderBird-Glide (probably photo-shop). No way Triumph would use Harley parts.

2006 Victory Kingpin
Lloydz 116" Stroker/Big Bore, .495 Cams, Torque Tubes Airbox,
RPW Thor Pipe, Lloydz ECU Flash, PC-III, PTS (-2), Rivera
Primo Clutch Spring, 31 Tooth Pulley w/Buell Belt.

They expect to compete against Harley with a parallel V Twin??? The only way to ever even hope to take away sales from Harley, is a V-Twin that actually sounds close to a Harley. The only company they might take sales away from is one of the Japanese companies going by the pics posted in that link.

Klock Werks showed a custom Tbird storm recently that looked like this (similar), so I wonder if this look is catching on in the Trumpet crowd ? And that motor actually does sound good. It sounds like a V twin, IMO. Not as good as a Harley, or a Vic. But it sounds decent.

The article indicates they camouflaged their touring test mules with Harley components. Though, the cast wheels are probably stock Vic parts. The original source is MCN out of the UK:

Regarding the sound, jaysonL is right, the Bird has a 270 degree firing order which makes the parallel twin sound like v-twin. Here's a good explanation of how it works:
