Default Handlebar a good ground?

Wiring up a DC power port on handlebar. Want to run only one positive wire for a cleaner install. Will the handlebar be a sufficient ground for such a thing?

Check to see. Use a test light or a meter. Usually, bars will be a poor ground as not much current gets through greasy bearings. If you need them to be grounded, run a wire to them from the battery or a ground wire.

i would run it to the battery also, the handle bars probably are not going to be sufficient. if your concern is making sure it looks as clean as possible you should be able to pick up some black nylon sleeving, that is what we use to keep our wire harnesses looking clean and organized
