Default Do you where protection??

OK
Not what you first thought!
I have been noticing more folks than ever riding with teeshirts, shorts and with their ladies on back with shorts and tank tops. I know I would feel really bad if I skint my wife up. I even see these folks in rush hour traffic at 75 mph.
I use to ride a vulcan 800 and didn't think about it. But as soon as i first felt the power of my High Ball i thought better. I figure if I am going to break something there is no need for skin grafts on top of it if I can avoid it.
Don't get me wrong I do enjoy a putt around the country now and then with out protection but not often and not far.
I ride in 85- 95 degree without stop lights every day for work and wear the slider mesh jacket and slider cargo pants and am very comfortable moving. Also 3/4 helmet when I don't have my windsheild.
What are ya'll wearing?
Be safe

I love your grammar heddy. In what part of this country do you live?
Me, I'm an ATGATT guy. I've been riding over 60 years so I ain't no spring chicken and I want to preserve what years I have left. For hot weather riding there's mesh gear (as you stated), cooling vests, cool ties, heat dispelling underliners, vented helmets, etc.. For around town, I wear a Gmax G67, it has 10 vents and it works well even behind a windshield. My highway helmet is a Scorpion EXO900 modular - a lot of bang for the buck. Thankfully I had my gear on, even though I was just running in-town errands, when this happened....

Appropriate jacket, gloves, boots with 1/2 or full helmet. Had one idiot broad side me when he ran a stop sign in which I did not have all the gear and I was one wobble away from pavement at about 45mph. Stopped ridding about a year later but finally got back on and haven't stopped. I gear up whether going to the store or 500 round robin. I know what mean about those without for them and their pax. It's a choice just like helmet or no helmet. Me and mine will always ride for the slide should it occur.

Rubbers of course. Doesn't everyone?

Yep. Rubber truck inner tubes on my upper body and 12" trailer tire inner tubes on each leg. If I go "down" I just bounce up and down until, well, you know... until I'm done. Then I just go find what's left of the bike if I'm satisfied with the outcum. Just sayin'...

Some days I just wear jeans and a t-shirt though. The mesh jacket for longer rides and hot days. Boots almost all the time on the bike.

I am usually ATGATT and that includes a full face helmet but with the humidity here lately I have been cheating a little and wearing a t-shirt and regular jeans (not my usual kevlar lined ones). Even with my shorty OEM windshield I just can't seem to get enough air flow to keep me cool but don't like riding for hours at a time without it, feel like a human parachute.

OEM short windshield, passenger backrest, crash bars, saddle bag bars, heated grips, vinyl closeouts, tachometer, ambient temp, LED headlight, luggage rack. WD lay down licence plate.

Always full fingered gloves, always vibram sole steel toed boots, never shorts. Everything else as conditions and whim dictate.

Full-face helmet (GMax G69), Fieldsheer Mesh Jacket (Warmer) and Leather Jacket (Colder), Olympia gloves, Pants, Work Boots. I always wear this gear. There is the occasional day when temps climb to 90+ that I will shed the jacket, but that is very rare.

Minimum helmet (full face or 3/4...full face feels safer, but 3/4 gives me the wind in my face and better cooling and visibility), gloves and good boots. Usually a leather vest, or leather or mesh jacket according to conditions. Chaps when it's cool enough. Road rash isn't especially appealing; I still have a nice scar on my shoulder from a bicycle accident 30 years ago.
