Sweet! Now I can break down in Moorpark!

Please add your bike's year and model to your signature. Here's why.

I wish some would open up here.

The last 3 years we lost 4 dealers. The closest to me is now 90 miles away!

Mine is also 90 miles away but I do like it that way. It cuts down on impulse buying (which I am bad about) and gives me a good chance for a ride.
By using the 4 lane it is 90 miles but by taking the back roads it's close to 120 miles.
My Harley dealer is 120 miles 1 way.
Once a month a few of us guys takes a day to go to different dealerships. We ride different bikes. Mostly HD's or Honda's.

I look for reasons to ride on the weekend with my friends. They work but I am retired. I am also the road captain for the ALR and VFWR this gives us a good reason to hang out and go for a ride.

I ride 30 miles to my dealer, which is not the closest to me. There are two others who are closer, but a great buying experience combined with great service keeps me going the extra miles. And as dd mentioned, there are a few good reasons not to have the dealership across the street from your house.

Here is the bad thing. I have a dealer less than 5 miles from my home. The owner is the biggest jackwagon in the World!! He lost the sale of Porti and excessive amount of accessory purchases because of his attitude when I was shopping for my bike.

A few months ago I went to the Fuel it Tour at his place. He came up to me shook my hand we talked a while. So I decided to start bringing my business to him.

Well his ugly other side reared its head and you only get 2 strikes with me.

If my bike broke down in front of his shop I would tow it 90 miles to SRVT before giving him my business!
