Default New Guy with a new Victory

I just wanted to introduce myself, I've been what you guys would call a lurker for sometime. Reading all of your comments and thoughts was exactly what I needed to help me pull the trigger on my new toy. Just picked up my new 2011 Cross Country from the my local dealer. 2 days in and I'm half way to my 1st service already. This machine is unbelievable. I've owned a lot of big bore cruisers over the years and have to say that Victory has really raised the bar with the CC and/or CR. Thanks everyone this one is for you .

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Welcome to the Victory Forums.

A couple of pointers. Please take the time to read the “Sticky” threads in the “Victory Forums Rules and New Members Introductions” forum. This will help you out a LOT with the Victory Forums.

The Search feature is your friend! You will find the answers to a lot of your questions by using it.

If you are asking questions that are of a technical/mechanical/electrical/performance nature, please place them in the “Victory Tech and Performance” forum. This will speed up a response. Placing them in the model specific forum can delay a response.

You might want to visit your control panel (click User CP on the top link bar) and add some details about yourself, like your location. That way we won't keep asking the same question RICZ just asked.

And since we're all affected by short term memory loss, help us remember what you ride by adding the year and model to your signature. It's all under the control panel.

Which dealer did you buy it from?

Please add your bike's year and model to your signature. Here's why.

Thanks, I made a few adjustments to the profile to help out.

The dealer I purchased from is Motoworld of El Cajon, they have only been a Victory dealer for a short time. They were awesome to deal with. What they lacked in Victory experience they made for it just about everything else you could think of. My wife has diagnosed me with OCD, I like to think I'm just a little anal, it didn't bother them a bit. I'm the 1st one to admit that I'm difficult to deal with. If they didn't know the answer to one of my stupid questions, they didn't jerk me around making stuff up. They researched and gave me the right answers quickly.

Welcome from snowy Utah!

Actually today most of the several inches we got the night before last is gone below 5000'. It's 51 degrees and I'm going for a ride tonight!

BTW, people in states that get cold weather that is impossible to ride year round in take advantage of every warm day they get. Last weeks "warm" day was 25 degrees...

I'm from Northern Michigan originally, so i understand completely. I remember getting the 83 Honda Nighthawk out of the garage in March, because the highway and main road through town was dry and free of snow. The surfaces streets were a little difficult to navigate, but worth every miserable minute once out on the highway.
