Default Tool to shave front sprocket cover and belt guard?

Hey guys,
This may sound like a stupid question but what tool(s) did you use to shave the front sprocket cover after the lowering links were installed? And what tool was used to cut back the belt guard without ruining the finish?

I just don't want to mess anything up at this point.

Thanks for all the help!

Use some kinda grinder is all you need.
As for the belt guard you might have to tale it off. If you hit a pot hole the belt guard could hit the fender now.
