Default Cornering clearance - boards vs pegs

I just picked up my new Kingpin 8-ball, and it's in desperate need of some cornering clearance. It also needs rear suspension with reasonable travel, so I'm going to kill two birds with one stone with a penske shock with 1" more ride height.

That said, I'm not convinced that will award me enough lean angle improvement. Can yall tell me if there is a marked improvement in lean angle on the Vegas vs the Kingpin, as a result of the pegs vs the floorboards? My 'boards touch down at silly shallow lean angles. I feel like I can't ride the bike like it wants to be ridden...

thanks
