Default ACM module and load equalizer

I'm in the process of adding LED front and rear signals and I bought the load equalizer. The rear LED's were simple. Before I put the front one's on, I was going to put the load equalizer in. The instructions for installing the load equalizer are a little sketchy at best. It says to locate the ACM and tap in which sounds simple enough. I took the seat off and nothing really jumps out at me as to what the ACM should look like.
The instructions say for my '09 it should be on the left side of the battery box area under the seat. The only thing over there appears to be the computer running along the inner side of the battery. On the right side there is a small box push pegged into the side of the frame rail, that I suspect might be the ACM. However, it only has 12 wires coming into it, and the instructions would seem to indicate 18. It has the hot wire colors for the front and rear signals which would be simple to tap into if that is correct. The ground wire is a bit of a mystery because there are several black wires. I suppose I could just ground the equalizer to the frame rail somewhere and that would be fine too?
I'm not the most savvy person with this electrical mumbo jumbo. Any help, insight or tips out there for a novice? A picture with these instructions would have made this a 10 minute job for sure.

Default Load Equalizer

Sorry that I can't help other than say that I just took my 2009 Jackpot back to the dealer to have the front led's hooked up. I already had the rear led's so I also needed the load equalizer, The dealer had so much trouble hooking it up that they called the manufacture for help.The dealer originally had it hooked up wrong. Hpoe someone here can help. Good Luck

Thanks. That's exactly why I'm taking it slow here. I've heard stories about guys toasting these ACM units. It surprises me that these aftermarket parts dont' come with better images and diagrams to help people out, especially when it's so easy to screw something like this up. I've looked for better information on MBW's website, VictoryOnly, etc. No luck yet.

Default LED Wiring

I found the instructions for wiring the MBW Wrap-around fork mount LED that I put on my 2005 hammer . Here we go .....Be advised that if these are being installed on a victory motorcycle , it is most likely that your bike's RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL is incorrectly wired with reverse polarity [ the black wire is actually your HOT wire and the COLORED wire is your ground ] . Use a test light or multi-meter to determine polarity BEFORE wiring . Neglecting to do so could possibly result in failure of your bikes ACM .If your bike is in fact wired with reverse polarity on the right front , you will want to wire your LED turn signals with our yellow wire to your bikes black wire and our black wire to your bikes blue / with red stripe . This step will only be necessary for the right side . OK now ....I used two eclipze module equalizers , one for each front LED signal . I used these and wired these in so the front signal lights would be constantly on as running lights and flash when the turn signal was activated . WARNING : Any direct short will destroy the unit immediately and not covered under warranty . Each Eclipze Module has three input wires and two output wires : inputs are black for ground , red for constant on , orange for flash-turn signal . No power on when installing . The input side : install red wire to constant on , black to ground , orange wire to the signal or pulse wire .... Output side of unit : install red wire output wire to LED's positive wire and black wire to negative wire . All of my connections were made inside of the headlight , out of sight . It sounds like you might have a different type of equalizer that wires up differently . I'm not sure this will help you , Good luck and enjoy the LED's

That is where the ACM is on the older bikes, so that's probably it on yours. The instructions you have are clearly for the 2007 and older bikes. All you need is a wiring diagram for your model and year, available in the service manual, to determine which wires are your left / right turns. You don't need to actually tape near the ACM, you should be able to tap the turn signal wires anywhere, since each side is effectively it's own circuit. You could tap just in front of the rear fender, where the turns run to the back. You could also place your LE in the headlight bucket, tapping the wires there. Again, it's a 'tap', and not a splice..... so if you don't like the location, you should be able to easily remove the tap with no damage to the exiting wire at that location. Just add a small piece of electrical tape after removal at the tap location.
