I should preface my post with: No, I am not buying one, it simply doesn't compare to the quality of our bikes.
A lot of local dealers here seem to have these on their show floors, and I have to admit that I really dig the sleek look of them. I normally pass right by them because I know about the cheapness of the build, the fiberglass fenders and the anemic motor in it, but the looks got the best of me, so I swung my leg over one recently.
Damn it is COMFORTABLE.
The generously padded seat was like sitting my butt in a Bentley, and the shape of it cradled me right into place. The riding position, bar reach and peg reach was just awesome, and I liked the gauge placement and style too.
I can see why Honda has had such great success getting first time riders on these, their sales are strong on them, and now I get why.
If I were in the market for a low cost, somewhat custom looking factory bike, I would gravitate more towards the new Yamaha Stryker (also amazingly comfortable) but the Fury would be another I'd seriously consider.
The dealer offered up a test ride, but honestly, I'm afraid I'd like it, but I know it's just not "me", and is a world apart from my Hammer S in every way.
A couple grand in mods, bob the rear fender, replace the fiberglass stuff with tins and I think it would be a sweet boulevard cruiser.
