Default Color Detail - Dark Cherry

So I'm looking at a '08 Vegas with dark cherry paint. With internet pictures, it's hard to tell the detail in the paint.

Quiestion is...does this color have much metalflake?

Metal flake is a thing of the past. It was found out that the metal flakes get hot and oxidize the paint from the inside out.

You know what they use now? Crushed sea shells!!!

Saying all that. I have no idea if there are flakes in the paint.

I didn't know they use sea shells for the metallic in paint. Huh. Learn something new every day.

Going by what this site says about the color schemes for the 08 Vegas; it doesn't look like there's any metallic in any of the paint styles for the Vegas of that year.

I found this out a few years ago.

I had to repaint my Dodge Magnum and I was referring to the flakes as metal flakes while talking to the painter.

The painter explained to me that they stopped using metal flakes some time ago.

He said there is no down side to using the shells and many times the different colored flakes in the paint are the natural sea shell color.
