I just recently installed a Doran TPMS on my XCT. I took some pictures along the way:

The actual tire sensors can be installed on the exterior of the wheel, or the interior.
I didn't want to take off my tire just so I could install it on the interior of the tire, so I decided to just install the sensors on the exterior valve stem. They just screw in, it couldn't be easier, and they do not interfere with anything.
The next step was to find a place to install the actual monitor. I mounted it on the left handlebar using the mounting bracket and rubber handlebar spacer they provided. The monitor itself is small, out of the way, yet still easily visible:
The next step was to wire the monitor for power. I ran the wires through the fairing, and into my Fuzeblock which I already previously installed on the bike. I set it to the "always on" position, so I don't have to wait for it to connect to the sensors upon every start up:

The last step was just to program the sensors and "pair" it with the monitor. This was a very simple step and just involved pushing a few buttons, and entering the numbers from the sensors. The monitor then recognizes the appropriate sensor and is now constantly monitoring the tire pressure for the front/rear.
Now if I want to know the current tire pressures, I literally just have to walk over to the bike, press one button, and it will display/scroll through both front/rear pressure readings. It's so much easier than the old way of having to get down on the ground to try and check the pressure using a gauge.
Some things I like about this unit:
-Small form factor. I've seen other systems out there with humongous displays and I prefer something small and unobtrusive. I've also checked out the systems which use a keychain, but I wanted something I could easily see while riding. One could always velcro the keychain on the dash I suppose, but the Doran just looks so much cleaner.
-Weatherproof. I don't have to worry about this system getting wet out in the elements.
- It's always on. I don't have to wait for the system to recalibrate/capture the pressures whenever I turn off the bike. I can get the current pressures instantly in real time. It does have a very tiny drain on the battery if done this way, but I would have to leave the bike unattended for months for this to happen. I have always plugged in all my bikes to a Battery Tender when garaged at home, so this is never going to be an issue. If one wanted he/she could also wire the monitor to a switched power source, but the only downside to that is that you'd have to wait up to 6 minutes from the time you power it up until you get a tire reading. That's when the monitor pairs with the sensors and acquires the pressures.
- There's a bright red LED light on the monitor when the pressure drops a certain amount below the baseline pressure (you will set this amount yourself during programming). The light is VERY bright and you cannot miss it. They also provide a remote light which you can wire to any location you want if you install the monitor in a non-visible location (like under the seat or something).
All in all I really love this system and it's money well spent in my opinion. Less worry, less work, more riding!
