Default Heaven to Hell 1000 GOLD ride

Pikes Peak to Death Valley. Via Independence Pass (Aspen) and Ely NV (desert) for 1036 miles. Less than 24 hours.

Can be run either direction. I'd like to start on the Pikes Peak side.

I'm hoping I can ride this somewhere during the 1st week of June. It all depends on mountain weather. Last year Independence Pass was opened way early...early May.

Been doing lots of research. It's a helluva ride but definitely doable.

Anyone want to join?

I'll have the SPOT for tracking/proof, Sena headsets and can pull my trailer for extra gear if you need it (haven't decided it I will pull if it's just me riding).

Anyone.....Bueller.....Bueller

I definitely want to do this one, but not sure I can afford the time away from the family for a one way Iron Butt ride right now with a wife that works and two small children at home. I was figuring 2-3 days for a leisurely ride out to Colorado from here in California. A 24 hour blast back to Death Valley, and then maybe a night's rest before riding the 500 miles back home. Or... I could just ride straight home from Death Valley and go for a combo Heaven to Hell and a BB1500! Still looking at probably 4 days minimum, not sure it's in the cards. (But I am thinking about it!)

I understand totally!!

Well, I'll post up as time gets closer what may or may not happen. I hope someone can ride along. I would still do it if it was me but what a ride this could turn out to be.

Looks fun. Too bad I'm wwwwaaayyyyy far away in Mississippi. Which just had its first ever freeze in my lifetime. Counting this time, I've seen it snow here four times in thirty three years.

I did the Ride Across Texas a few years ago. I think it's 850 miles or so in a day.

Name sounds familiar. I may go there in the end but this forum got my money.

Johnny...I ride the black hills every year. This year the family (all on Vic's) will be there over the week of July 4th. Come on down!! I know the roads quite well. You give me 2 days and I'll show you a good time 😈

Eh, the "other site" ain't nothin special in my book. I use both and this is the most sociable and since I run the TC it works. Folks told me the Sam e thing on TCs and the "other site". I'll like peeps her. Lol. Including VJ when he's not on the "other" site. Hehe

Mike I looked at the mileage and don't think I can do it but did want to make the run so keep the details coming. Who knows I may do something wild. 1700 to get to the start point. Hehe. Keep the posts coming

Think Rollin just completed this ride recently. I'd guess he's got plans to tackle other challenges this upcoming year...
