Default Seat help

Good day all,

I have been doing research on seat options for my 08 JP and have decided on getting my stock seat redone. I know there have been lots of threads on seats but my question is has anyone heard of or have an experience with getting a "butt buffer" inserted into a seat? Is it worth it or just go with a gel pad and memory foam? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I had my stock seat redone with gel pad and memory foam. I gave it 1000 miles to break in and I don't like it. I think it may need to be reshaped to fit me better.

What did make a huge difference is putting 5" peg extensions on. I'm 6'2" and the extensions allow more of my leg to hit the seat. I actually went back to my gunfighter seat and it is as comfy as I have ever been on my JP.
