To all of our customers:
"I have recently discovered that a very crude copy of our Patent Pending Lloydz Torque Tube Intake is being advertised on Ebay as being able to perform equally if not better than the Lloydz Torque Tube Intake. I want to make sure that you all understand the "POWERFLOW TUBES FOR VICTORY MOTORCYCLES" for the 2000-2007 Victory Models IS NOT the Lloydz Torque Tube Intake and will not perform any better than a stock airbox. Its design is extremely rudimentary. I cannot troubleshoot it nor guarantee its adequacy when combining it with our high performance applications. It is apparent that this individual has attempted to imitate our product to the best of his ability based on the information within our instructions and photos available on our website. This crude copy of our product offers absolutely no proof of testing, nor performance capabilities in any form within the advertisement. As you are all aware, I spent many years designing the torque tube intake and perfecting the specifications so that we might offer our customers a high performance alternative to the stock airbox. The proper curve, taper and length are all crucial to the design of this type of intake. The Lloydz Torque Tube Intake and its design are fabricated to deliver the highest intake velocity and air flow than any other intake currently available for the Victory Motorcycle bar none."
On another forum there was an observation by someone that seems to make sense.
"Here is my observation with this intake. The pictures show his tube is straight walled with a lot smaller filters. If you took Lloydz intake and straightened the tubes vertical you would see they are tapered. The inlet is larger in diameter than the outlet. This takes advantage of intake pulse flow to create velocity.
Also this guy mounted the air temp & map sensors in the tube. The flow of air over the map sensor will have a venturi effect on the map sensor. This will give the computer a false pressure reading. This goes for the air temp sensor as well. A false air temp reading.
He must have not read Lloydz install directions online or even bought a set of torque tubes to copy. These in my opinion are a very poor copy of the originals.
If you only have $300.00 to spend, buy the S&S intake or Lloydz S&S style intake. With these you can get an S&S download for an open intake that is really close for your tuning. With this guys "Fake tube intake" you will probably need a PCIII & $300.00 of dyno tuning to even make it run right, if at all. With this guys intake you Air/Fuel ratios are going to be all over the place."
