Default Fuel Pump Dead after 1000 miles

My wife's 2014 Vegas decided to leave her stranded on the highway about 50 miles from home on Saturday. Lucky I was riding with her on my XC and was able to at least keep her company until the flat bed arrived 3 hours later, but I am posting this as a question to see if there is a new issue with a certain batch of Fuel Pumps that went in specifically to 2014 Vegas builds.

Has anyone else heard of any fuel pump failures on 2014's ?

Our service shop said that there have been a few reports of this, but I have not heard or read about this issue until now.

Haven't read of any pump problems here in four weeks.
Maybe with all the rain the bike couldn't remember how to run

The fuel pump developed a fault on my 2013 Judge, and was replaced under warranty.

Hey Joelis...just curious...what type of road side assistance do you carry?

It is the Victory Roadside Assistance provided with the regular factory warranty on a new bike purchase.

Not sure how they contract their work out, but waiting 3 hours for a tow on a Saturday afternoon is bullshit.
